Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

Author Guidelines

We welcome original contributions that focus on sustainable practices, economic resilience, and innovation in business. Our goal is to publish research that informs and inspires professionals, policymakers, and academics in the fields of business sustainability, corporate responsibility, and green innovation. Please carefully follow the guidelines below when submitting your manuscript.


Types of Articles

  • Original Research Articles: Detailed studies that introduce new findings in the fields of sustainable business practices, economic models, and environmental impacts.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive surveys and evaluations of existing research on sustainability topics.
  • Case Studies: Practical examples of businesses or organizations implementing sustainable practices successfully.
  • Commentaries/Opinion Pieces: Thought-provoking perspectives on current trends and issues in sustainable business.
  • Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications related to sustainable business and economy.
  • Policy Briefs: Analyses of current or proposed policies impacting sustainability in business and economics.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. General Format:

    • Submit your manuscript as a Word document (.docx) or LaTeX file.
    • Use 12-point Times New Roman font.
    • Double-space the text throughout (including references).
    • Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
    • Include a page header with the manuscript title (shortened if necessary) on each page.
    • Number all pages consecutively, starting from the title page.
  2. Title Page:

    • Title of the manuscript (concise, descriptive, and without abbreviations).
    • Full names of all authors (use first and last name).
    • Author affiliations (institutional affiliation and location).
    • Corresponding author with full contact information (email address, phone number, and address).
  3. Abstract:

    • Provide a 150-250 word abstract.
    • The abstract should summarize the scope of the study, methodology, key results, and conclusions.
  4. Keywords:

    • List 4-6 keywords that best describe the subject matter of your manuscript.
  5. Headings and Subheadings:

    • Use clear and concise headings to organize your manuscript.
    • Major headings should be in bold, while subheadings should be italicized.
  6. Figures and Tables:

    • All figures and tables must be included at the end of the manuscript, not embedded within the text.
    • Number figures and tables consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
    • Include clear titles and captions for all tables and figures.
    • Ensure high-quality visuals (300 dpi or higher).
  7. References:

    • Follow the APA 7th edition citation style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
    • Include only cited works in the reference list. Do not cite personal communications or unpublished work.
    • Ensure all references are correctly formatted and complete.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission:
    All manuscripts should be submitted electronically via our submission portal [Link to be provided]. Please ensure that you follow all steps in the submission process, including uploading all necessary files and metadata.

  2. Initial Screening:
    All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening to assess their relevance and alignment with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards will be returned to the authors.

  3. Peer Review:
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent for double-blind peer review. Please do not include any identifying information about the authors within the manuscript itself. Reviewers are experts in the relevant fields and will evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, and clarity.

  4. Revisions:
    Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. Please respond to all reviewer comments in a detailed manner and submit the revised manuscript along with a response letter outlining the changes made.

  5. Acceptance and Publication:
    Upon acceptance, authors will be notified and asked to sign a copyright transfer agreement. Articles will then be published in the next available issue of Sustainable Enterprise Quarterly.


Ethical Considerations

  1. Originality:
    Submissions must be original and not under consideration by any other journal. Authors must ensure that they have properly cited any previously published work.

  2. Conflict of Interest:
    Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research or publication.

  3. Plagiarism:
    We have a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using advanced tools.

  4. Ethical Approval:
    If applicable, research involving human participants or animals must be approved by the relevant ethical committees, and such approval should be stated in the manuscript.


Copyright

  • Authors retain copyright to their articles but grant AJBMS the right to publish, distribute, and reproduce the article in all media formats (print and digital) worldwide.
